Retina
Inner-black surface of the eye. The retina contains light-sensitive cells that convert light to electric impulses that are carried to the brain.

Retinal Detachment
A separation of the retina from the choroid.

Rubeosis
Rubeosis is a term that describes abnormal blood vessel growth on the iris and the structures in the front of the eye. Normally there are no visible blood vessels in these areas.
